Campus Connection Students Summer 2009
Launch Your College Career!
Campus Connection is a one-week summer program for graduating seniors from Berkshire County high schools admitted to BCC for the fall semester. Students can earn a voucher to take a three credit class during the fall semester and get a head start on the transition from high school to college.
Best of all... It's FREE!
The program runs in late August for one week at BCC's main campus on West Street.
Get a head start on how to succeed and be eligible to take a free class in the fall semester.
What's included:
Math
Reinforce your math skills through content review. Learn math study skills. Retake your math placement test, improve your score and place into a higher level math-saving you time and money!
English
Campus Connection is built around a theme utilizing a different work of non-fiction each year with numerous activities woven this theme.
Study Strategies/ Campus Resources.
Get a leg up on skills such as how to manage your time, how to take notes. Learn your way around the campus, meet staff and faculty, and learn how to use BCC's on-line WebAdvisor.
Career as Student
Learn the do's and don'ts for a successful first semester. Become more confident about your shift from high school to the very different and exciting world of college.
Outdoor Adventure at Camp Becket- Summer 2008
One of the greatest benefits of Campus Connection is that you will get a chance to meet other first-time BCC students. When the semester starts, you will already know other students, staff, and faculty.
Students in the program develop friendships that continue throughout their time at BCC.
Great activities like outdoor adventure, pizza parties, and wonderful guest speakers make this week a perfect way to start your first college semester.
