BCC & BCREB to host Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Overview Session
Oct 25, 2011
Berkshire Community College and the Berkshire County Regional Employment Board are hosting an information session for Massachusetts companies to learn more about available training money on November 17th at the Intermodal Education Center, One Columbus Avenue, Pittsfield from 8:30am-11am. These grant funds will help employers prepare their workers for the future. The Workforce Training Fund is a state program financed entirely by Massachusetts employers and provides the resources needed for organizations to help their employees learn new skills and to increase company competitiveness. The major focus of the Fund is for small- to medium-sized businesses who would not be able to make a training investment in their associates without assistance.

The information session will focus on the latest information for the General Grant. A brief discussion of the Express and Hiring Training Incentive Grants will be included. Mr. Michael Corcoran, supervisor of operations for the Workforce Training Fund Program will lead this information session. A comprehensive packet of information will be distributed - including a proven seven-step application process and time line. Special features of this session include an interactive question and answer session and networking opportunities.

Please join us for a continental breakfast to learn about the process to secure grant funds. Funding will help your organization gain economic strength and enhance your employees' skills by introducing them to new technologies, production methods and customer satisfaction tools.

Register for the Information Session by contacting Denise Johns via phone at 413-236-2125 or via email at Registration deadline is November 7th.
