BCC's South County Center to Offer Summer Workshops

Berkshire Community College (BCC), will offer the following workshops at its South County Center this summer.

"Free Press to Trash Media" (WKS-2348) discusses how far we've come from the founding fathers' vision of free press and how it matters from which medium, paper, TV or Internet, we got our news. Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays, June 4 through June 13, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Cost for registration is $60.

"Introduction to Fiction Writing - Find Your Voice" (WKS-959) encourages and guides writers to explore the many facets of fiction. Students read short stories, engage in writing exercises in class and at home and study the use of detail, point of view, scene vs. narration and dialogue. Classes meet Wednesdays, June 6 through June 18, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

"The Consumer Society: 1870 - 2012" (WKS-2349) learn how we've changed, from American citizen to American consumers, and where we are now. Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays, June 18 through June 27, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Cost for registration is $60.
