BCC Announces November Forums

The public is invited to attend the following free Forum events on the main campus of Berkshire Community College (BCC). Except as noted, all events are from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM in room K-111 of the college's Koussevitzky Arts Center.

Art Lecture
Joanne F. Desmond: ‘A thing of beauty or looks are deceiving'.

Joseph Firecrow
A master of the Native American Flute who earned a Grammy Award will perform. Sponsored by the Committee for Diversity.

Wednesday, November 14
Diversity Film Series: When The Mountains Tremble
Pamela Yates' 1984 documentary, now being used in the war crimes trial against the leaders of the military Junta that systematically murdered hundreds of thousands of people in Guatemala. Sponsored by the Committee for Diversity. 6:30 PM.

6th Annual Diwali Festival Dinner
A buffet dinner of traditional foods celebrating Diwali. Tickets: $20, $10 for BCC students, and may be purchased at the office of Student Life. 6:00 PM, Bombay Bar and Grill in the Quality Inn in Lee. Sponsored by the Committee for Diversity and the office of Student Life.

The Making of Granito
Documentary filmmakers Pamela Yates, and Paco de Onis will talk about their film, Granito, and Pamela's earlier film, When the Mountains Tremble. Sponsored by the Committee for Diversity.
