BCC to Host Debates Aug. 29

Berkshire Community College (BCC) will host two debates on Mon., Aug. 29 for State Representative and State micSenate. The debates will be held in the Koussevitzky Arts Center, room K-111, on BCC’s main campus at 1350 West Street. 

6 - 7 p.m. - State Representative Debate (Third Berkshire District) with Democratic candidates Michael Bloomberg and State Rep. Tricia Farley-Bouvier.

8:30 – 9:30 p.m. (originally slated to start at 7:30 p.m.) - State Senate Debate (Berkshire, Hampshire, Franklin & Hampden District) with Democratic candidates Rinaldo DelGallo, Andrea Harrington and Adam Hinds.

The debates are part of a free collaborative series sponsored by BCC, PCTV and the Pittsfield Gazette.

The primary election will be held on Thurs., Sept. 8. Another debate with the Democratic finalists and the Republican and Independent candidates will be held at BCC in October. The general election will be held on Nov. 8.

The public is welcome to attend the free events or watch live telecasts on Pittsfield Community Television. PCTV will also provide internet feeds (live and post-event on-demand) at www.pittsfieldtv.org.
