Education in Action

Welcome to Education in Action, Berkshire Community College’s Service-Learning Program--an enriching and exciting partnership of students, educators and community members, all working together to provide students and faculty with innovative educational opportunities. Through the program, students offer support, problem-solving, hands-on projects, tutoring, counseling and research to local agencies, community groups, and their clients.

Service-Learning allows students to work on social, environmental, educational, and cultural issues relevant to those of us living and working in Berkshire County. The guide that follows, in a clear question and answer format, addresses student, community partner and faculty issues by providing an overview of the program, its benefits and responsibilities.
