Eligibility Requirements

Nearly everyone who applies can qualify for some type of aid! Both day and evening students are eligible for financial aid consideration.

To receive aid, you must meet the following requirements:

• Have financial need (except for certain loan programs)
• Be accepted into a degree or approved certificate program
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident
• Make Satisfactory Academic Progress (even if you've never received aid previously)
• Be registered with the Selective Service (unless you are female or were born before 1960)
• Not in default on a prior student loan or do not owe a repayment on a federal or state grant
