BCC Players Present One-Act Plays
Feb 1, 2010
The BCC Players will present two, one-act, student-directed plays including "Endgame" by Samuel Beckett and "The Spotted Man" by Walter Wykes in the Robert Boland Theatre at Berkshire Community College on Friday and Saturday evening, Feb.19 and 20 at 8; and on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 21 at 2.

"Endgame," directed by Jerry Greene, transports the audience to a world of fading hope and failing bodies, where the blind man is king.  Or, is he?  It's difficult to tell in an immured reality where words hold no more significance; where love and hate are as gray as the sunken light languishing beyond the windows; and where power can evade one's grasp in an instant. Performers include David Turnbough, Jerry Greene, Jeff Chapman, and Becky Greene.

"The Spotted Man," directed by Meredith McMillan, is a hilarious comedy about a man plagued with a mysterious disease, who seeks help at a doctor's office that is totally out of control, where no one is what he appears to be, and a straight answer is nowhere to be found. The play features BCC actors Jerry Greene, Gabrielle Smachetti, Becky Greene, David Turnbough, and Brian Plouffe.

Ryan Cavanaugh is the technical director and Marisa Nickerson will design the lighting.

Tickets for all performances are $5 and may be reserved by calling the BCC Box Office at 413-499-0886.
