‘Of Saint and Syn' on Display at BCC

"Of Saint and Syn," an exhibit by Leslie Alfin, will be on display in the Koussevitzky Art Gallery at Berkshire Community College (BCC) from Tuesday, Aug. 31 through Friday, Oct. 15.

Alfin will discuss the exhibit Thursday, Sept. 16 at 12:15 K-111. Forum credit is available for BCC students attending the discussion.

Alfin has practiced at the intersections of design, business, and technology for 25 years. Formerly, the Vice President of Marketing for Cingular Wireless's Blackberry Enterprise Group, and as CEO/Head Designer for EGG, Inc. Marketing Communications, servicing Fortune 1000 and emerging growth technology companies, Leslie was responsible for strategy development, modeling and deployment. Leslie is now focused on her career as an educator in the School of Design Strategies at Parsons School of Design in New York City and as an installation artist working from her studio in Brooklyn, NY.

She has exhibited many projects that integrate her knowledge of art, business and media communications. Leslie is a PhD candidate in the Z-Node program at the Zurich University for the Arts where she is engaged in collaborative research with scientists from the ETHZ that focuses on the investigation of complex adaptive system models and the potential for sustainable cultural ecologies that learn, innovate and network across disciplines.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The gallery is located in BCC's Koussevitzky Arts Center. Gallery hours are from 9 to 5, Monday through Friday.
