BCC Presents RENT
Nov 24, 2010
Berkshire Community College (BCC) and the BCC Players welcome RENT to the stage the first two weekends in December. Pricing is $10 for Adults and $5 for Students and Seniors. An Additional $1 dollar off of the Admission price for non-perishable food items and 10% of the proceeds will benefit local charities. All shows will be performed in the Robert Boland Theatre located in the Koussevitzky Arts Center.

Based on Giacomo Puccini's Opera "La Boheme," Jonathan Larson's award winning Rent explores modern-day social issues of homelessness, poverty, the AIDS epidemic and the struggles of living in New York's East Village. Directed by Tommy Towne, RENT combines the talent of current BCC Students, BCC Alumnus, and members of the Berkshire County Community.

With many Broadway hits made famous from its run, such as "Season's of Love" and " La Vie Boheme" RENT promises to be an entertaining, meaningful and enjoyable show. The story follows the lives of eight struggling bohemians and their attempt to survive. The audience is invited into the world of this talented group of friends, who learn that there's " No day but Today", through love and loss.
