Give Yourself the Gift of Music for the New Year - Learn Guitar at BCC!
Dec 23, 2010

Every year you promise yourself you'll learn to play guitar and every year you find reasons not to. Make 2011 the year you finally make time to bring music into your life. Learning guitar is easier than you think, and it's also a lot of fun, especially when you learn through the Absolute Beginner's Group classes at Berkshire Community College's (BCC) South County Center in Great Barrington.

BCC offers three levels of guitar classes - one for people just starting out, one for people who have basic guitar skills and want to learn more about technique and theory, and a "jam class" that focuses on playing in group situations. This spring, BCC is also offering a popular Songwriting Workshop as well as a new "Open Mic" Workshop designed to help you get up and perform at any of the open mics here in the Berkshires or wherever you may happen to want to play.

If you have questions concerning any of the Guitar Workshops, BCC offers you the chance to come and talk with instructor David Hodge (author of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Guitar) at a special "open house Q&A" session on Tuesday, January 25 at the BCC South County Center. David will be answering questions and giving demonstrations from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. He will be more than happy to go over any questions you may have and help you get into the class that is the right level for you.

For further information call the South County Center at 413-236-5201 or 413-236-5202.
