The public is invited to attend the following free Forum event at the South County Center of Berkshire Community College (BCC) on Thursday, March 3 at 12:15 in Room S2.
This Forum, under the auspices of the Community Health Workers' Alliance of Berkshire County, explores how your personal development equals power, and discusses how factors such as education, accessing health care, funding, race, and gender may influence a decision to receive or not receive fair and equitable treatment.
Power is the ability to influence or have an effect in a particular environment. The right use of power is profound and rewarding; it can heal, repair and adopt a "do no harm persona" and also seek to promote well-being for all. This power must be learned and practiced.
Join facilitator Luci Leonard, BA, LPN, CHW, in this interactive workshop on the use of power, one of the most crucial elements of our relationships and one of the greatest challenges we face in leadership, personal development and within our communities.
