BCC and Nuclea Biotechnologies Team Up For Second Summer Science Institute

Berkshire Community College (BCC) and Nuclea Biotechnologies is pleased to announce the >>2011 Nuclea Summer Science Institute (NSSI) for high school juniors and seniors. The NSSI is a five-day educational program for young adults eager to learn some of the latest technologies in the Oncologic Research Field. The program, which will be fully funded by Nuclea, is offered at no-cost to students and will run July 25-29, 2011 on BCC's main campus.

The collaboration establishes a framework for continuing education in the field of biological sciences and hands-on laboratory work to develop a well-rounded view of the biotechnology industry. The NSSI will be instructed by an array of people in the science community including local professionals from Nuclea Biotechnologies, as well as professors from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and Clark University.

The NSSI will enhance attendee's skills and knowledge both in the classroom and in the laboratory. Students may obtain an application online at www.berkshirecc.edu/NSSIform. Deadline for application is JUNE 10, 2011.
