Spring Semester Workshops Announced by BCC

The following workshops will be offered by Berkshire Community College (BCC) this spring semester which begins Monday, January 23.

"Knife Skills" (WKS-345) held in collaboration with Different Drummer's Kitchen, teaches participants to dice, slice, chiffonade, julienne and perform other techniques. This hands-on workshop, the most popular class at Different Drummer's Kitchen Co.'s schools in Albany and Northampton, includes knife safety, care, sharpening and honing. Class is limited, register early. Class meets Saturday, Feb. 11, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Cost for registration is $55.

"Introduction to Hung Ga Kung Fu" (WKS-1650) an introduction to Martial Arts, teaches students the history/lineage of the family Kung Fu. For more information on the art, to www.yeeshunggo.com. Classes, taught by Vincent Carter, meet Tuesday and Thursday, Feb. 14 through March 22, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Howard Building, 124 Fenn Street in Pittsfield. Cost for registration is $125.
