BCC to Offer Workshops this Spring in South County

The following workshops will be held at the South County Center of Berkshire Community College (BCC) this spring.

"Women in Love" (WKS-2346) read and discuss three stories of three women in love in the 18th and 19th centuries. Through their stories, students will understand more about society and social rules of the times in which they loved and lived. Classes meet Mon. and Wed., March 19 through March 26, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Cost for registration is $60.

"How to Write, Illustrate, Publish and Sell a Book for Children" (WKS-978) a new workshop, brings out the child in participants, sparks their imagination, and empowers them to do what they always wanted to do; write, illustrate and sell a children's book. Classes meet Friday, March 23 through April 27, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Cost for registration is $175.

"Writing a Successful Screenplay" (WKS 923) designed for individuals who have always dreamed of writing an original screenplay. Participants are taken through the steps that are involved in writing and selling an original screenplay. Topics include story concept, story structure, and the correct way to format a screenplay. This workshop covers protecting your work, writing a query letter, finding an agent, and where to present your work without an agent. Classes meet Friday, March 23 through May 11, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Cost for registration is $160.
