The public is invited to attend the following free Forum events on the main campus of Berkshire Community College (BCC). Except as noted, all events are from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM in room K-111 of the college's Koussevitzky Arts Center.

Tuesday, May 1
Panel Discussion: Local Mosquito Control
Learn the facts. Join the debate. Chris Horton, Superintendent of the Berkshire County Mosquito Control Project, and BCC's microbiology students discuss mosquito control in Berkshire County.

Wednesday, May 2
Diversity Film Series: Sarah's Key
Based on the bestseller by Tatiana de Rosnay, this film stars Kristin Scott Thomas as a journalist who, while researching the French government's deportation of 8,000 Jews to Nazi concentration camps during WWII, uncovers the story of 10 year old Sarah, who left her little brother locked in a closet to protect him from the deportation. Sponsored by the Committee for Diversity. 6:30 PM.

Gaia Roots World Music Performance
Inspired by roots music from West Africa, the Caribbean and around the world, Gaia Roots World Music Ensemble blends drumming, dance, vocal harmonies and story into a unique weave of traditional music and original creations.

Jazz standards performed by a non-standard jazz ensemble: Enjoy piano, bass, drums, guitar, saxophone, and violin. Presented by Jeff Link's master class.
