Berkshire Community College (BCC) is pleased to announce the addition of four new staff members.
Christine Hoyt joins BCC as a staff assistant in Workforce Development. In her new role, she assists in the
implementation of workforce programs and the coordination of special events.
Hoyt was most recently the director of programs and events with the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. She previously served as the executive assistant to the president at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA).
In 2013, the Berkshire Young Professionals, a program Hoyt coordinated as part of her work with the Chamber, earned the Judge John A. Barry Community Service Award. Hoyt currently serves as board president of Youth Center Inc. in Adams, where she resides with her husband. She holds a bachelor's degree from Ithaca College in
Ithaca, N.Y. Molly Guest has been appointed assistant to the vice president for administration and finance. Prior to joining BCC, she was the assistant & intern to the vice president of finance & administration at Williams College. She previously worked as the restaurant manager at Hobson's choice in Williamstown.
Guest holds a professional membership to the American Association of University Women. She currently serves as the secretary to the Williamstown Youth Basketball Association.
She garnered her bachelor's degree from MCLA and is currently working toward a PMBA. She resides
in Williamstown with her husband and three children.
Laura Saldarini has been named assistant to the vice president for academic affairs. Saldarini joins BCC from Bennington College where she served as the assistant to the dean of students. Prior to that, she worked in Lenox Public Schools for more than 10 years.
She holds an associate's degree from BCC and served as the valedictorian for the Class of 2008. She's currently earning a bachelor's degree at MCLA. Saldarini resides in Lenox with her husband and has two grown children.
Karrie Trautman has joined BCC as coordinator of financial aid & work study programs. She previously served
as the associate director of financial aid at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, N.Y. Prior to that, she worked at the University at Albany as the associate director of financial aid.
Trautman is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Financial Aid Administrators and also serves on the Bell Top Elementary Parent Teacher Organization in East Greenbush, N.Y. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
She resides in North Greenbush with her husband and twin boys.
