BCC's South County Center to Offer Food & Wine Workshops

Wine connoisseurs, or adults simply wishing to learn more about wine, are invited to register for the following workshops offered this fall through Berkshire Community College's (BCC) South County Center.

"Wines of France & Italy" (WKS-754) takes participants on an excursion from Trentino Alto Adige in the north, to Sicily at the tip of the boot, with many stops along the way. Students learn about the world's most friendly wines. Class meets Oct. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost for registration is $20.

"Food and Wine Made Fun" (WKS-474) explores the art of matching food and wine. Participants
sample savory treats and tasty pours to help unravel the not-so-mysterious world of wine and food, and learn to pair the two like a pro. Class meets Dec. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. Cost for registration is $40.

All wine workshops are held at Cellarbration Wine, Beer & Spirits (formerly Grape Finds) in Great
Barrington. Participants must be 21 years or older. A photo ID is required.

 "French Cooking" (WKS-348) is designed to introduce French cooking taught by a professional French chef. Attendees will receive hands-on cooking instruction and will also be exposed colorful stories about the food and culture of France. Class meets Oct. 4 to Oct. 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the South County Center. A $30 materials fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

"Say Cheese!" (WKS 623) teaches cheese-lovers guidelines to choose the perfect wine to complement a
favorite cheese. Class meets Nov. 7. Cost for registration is $30.
