BCC's South County Center will offer an array of new credit courses and non-credit workshops for the spring 2014 Semester as well as Saturday office hours and course offerings.
Beginning Jan. 18 through May 17, the South County Center (SCC) will be open and staffed on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to allow current students to access the computer lab, advising, registration, student billing and tutorial services or to use the Center for individual or group study.
In addition, three new classes will also be offered on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon including: Ornithology, Introduction to Studio Art and History of Chinese Civilization.
Many other credits courses will also be offered at the SCC. New business related courses include: Introduction to Hospitality, Microeconomics, Business Law, Business Math, Accounting II, Business Fundamentals and Microsoft Word.
Other new credit courses include: Conversational American Sign Language, Sociology of Religion, Human Growth and Development and Elementary Statistics.
Non-credit continuing education workshops are offered throughout the spring with a variety of start dates and schedules. New workshops include: Understand Windows 8, Facebook Basics, Contemporary Floral Design, Overcome Public Speaking, Women in Management, Intro to Photography, A Powerful Management Approach, Landscape Design with Berkshire Botanical Garden and Real Estate Investor.
Workshops back by popular demand include: several levels of songwriting and guitar with David Hodge, Photoshop and Indesign workshops, various computer workshops, ServSave certifications, French Cooking and wine and cheese workshops, among many others.
BCC's spring 2014 Semester begins Jan. 21. Registration is open through the first week of classes, however it is advised that students register by Jan. 18.
