BCC Players to Perform 'Four by Ives'
May 4, 2009

Enjoy an evening of laughs as the BCC Players present four one-act comic materpieces from the pen of playwright David Ives on Friday and Saturday, May 8 and 9, at 8:30pm in the Robert Boland Theatre at Berkshire Community College.

Directed by Tom Towne and Don Jordan, the acts to be performed are:

   "Enigma Variations," which follows the zany hijinks of a pair of lookalikes trying to solve an identity crisis;

   "The Mystery of Twicknam Vicarage," featuring the bullet-riddled body of Jeremy Thumpinton Fuh-Fuh-Fienes, a bumbling Scotland Yard detective, and three suspects with ridiculous accents;

   "English Made Simple," the story of two would-be lovers kept apart by the perversity of language; and

   "Words, Words, Words," in which three monkeys named Milton, Swift and Kafka attempt to produce Shakespeare on their typewriters.

Cast members include Gary Cannon, Kelsie Fairfield, Sean Winters, Stephanie Watroba, Meredith McMillan, Alex Cordero, Sharae Gadson, Yssouf Jose Sanogo, Sarah Mitchell, Matt Coviello, Jerry Greene, and Kim Gritman. Christopher Gregory serves as the set and lighting designer.

Tickets are $10 for general admission; and $5 for students, seniors and BCC staff. Tickets may be reserved by calling the BCC Box Office at 413-499-0886.  Tickets also available at door.
