Berkshire Community College’s Physical Therapist Assistant Program hosted a Wellness
on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 10am–2pm.

The day was filled with activities such as chair massages, sample exercise classes and food sampling, along with educational booths on how to care for yourself and loved ones.
The event is free to the public, with nominal fees for massages and exercise classes. All proceeds of the event go to EMPOWERSCI, a non-profit organization which was established to enable individuals with spinal cord injuries to lead happier, more meaningful and independent lives. The program involves formal physical, occupational and recreational therapies and — more importantly — focuses on peer mentoring, rehabilitation counseling and informal knowledge-sharing between individuals who are going through similar experiences and challenges.
- Half-hour fitness classes (Yoga, Cardio Strength Fusion, Kick Boxing)
- Chair massages
- Raffles (including day passes to Cranwell, Kripalu & Canyon Ranch)
- Educational booths
