 Phi Theta Kappa – Oberndorf Lifeline to Completion Scholarship

  • Phi Theta Kappa member
  • 3.0 GPA or above
  • 45 semester credits or more
  • Student must graduate within 18 months from the time of application
  • At the time of application, the student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester credit hours
  • Open to part-time, full-time and international student
  • Must not hold a previously earned associate or bachelor's degree
  • Documented hardship incurred over the past 6 months

Grant Opportunities for International Travel

Learn about GRANTS for up to $1,000 to help pay

  • for travel costs of a course involving travel;
  • for a “Discovery Journey” that YOU design;
  • for a Service Learning project in another country…

For the Global Engagement Fund (limited to BCC students), pick up materials in Field 232 (BCC Foundation Office) or Melville 223 (Prof. Lois Cooper’s Office).  Deadline is October 30, 2014. 

For the Henriquez Fund at Berkshire Taconic Community   Foundation, visit, click “Receive” and search for Henriquez on the “Search and Apply for a Grant” page.  Deadline is February 1, 2015.

Big Y Scholarship

  • Must be a resident of Western MA, Central MA, Norfolk Country, MA, or the state of Connecticut (student or school that you’re attending)
  • All Big Y employees are eligible regardless of their residency
  • Any college student or High School Seniors, Undergraduates, Graduates, Community College, and Non-Traditional students.
  • Big Y awards over 300 scholarships each year totaling $250,000
  • Deadline: February 1, 2015

The Scholarship for Tomorrow’s Entrepreneur

  • Applicant must be graduating High School’s Senior Class in 2014 or currently enrolled in a college of business with a 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Applicant must demonstrate high ambition and desire to be an entrepreneur or business owner and must have a major in the college of Business
  • Funds must be used for full-time enrollment at accredited two or four-year college, university, vocational or technical school in the U.S.
  • Deadline: February 28, 2015. (The entry period on November 1st, 2014. Scholarship winner will be announced May 30th, 2015)
  • This is an evergreen scholarship and will be renewed and funded each year by GreenPal Co.
