FORUM - Commissioner David Cash to Speak on Energy
Berkshire Community College and 1Berkshire will present an Engery Forum with Commissioner David Cash, Ph.D, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities.
Massachusetts is at the end of the energy pipeline, so we have always had high energy prices. But because, nationally, there is a natural gas boom, energy costs have been dropping. But projections indicate these prices will start going up again and will remain volatile. In this presentation, Commissioner Cash will discuss electricity rates, how they are changing, and how the state's energy efficiency and renewable energy programs will help mitigate high energy costs and volatility.
Tours of BCC's newly renovated Ralf Hoffmann Environmental Science and Sustainable Energy Center wil be conducted.Forum credit available.
