CPR Course Offered by BCC

Berkshire Community College (BCC) will offer the following CPR workshop at the Intermodal Education Center located on the second floor of the BRTA building on the corner of North Street and Columbus Avenue in downtown Pittsfield.

"American Heart Association CPR for Health Care Providers" (WKS 1541) is designed for students who are planning to enter a college program that requires certification in CPR. The course is for health care providers or employees who are working in a health care facility requiring bi-annual certification. Participants practice and demonstrate skills in adult, child and infant CPR. Successful completion of a written exam is required.

The textbook for this course, Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers, may be borrowed from Berkshire Health Systems for a refundable $10 fee by calling Liz Kassel at 413-236-4638 immediately after registering for the course. The $10 fee will be refunded when the book is returned on the last class day. Students who wish to keep the manual may also order the book online at for $11 plus postage. This one-session class meets Wednesday, August 11, from noon to 4 PM.
