BCC to Offer Workers' Compensation Workshop Downtown
Oct 25, 2010

Berkshire Community College (BCC) will offer the following workers' compensation workshop at the Intermodal Education Center on the corner of North Street and Columbus Avenue.

"Managing the Ill or Injured Worker Under ADA, FMLA and Workers' Compensation" (WKS 1532) provides a road map to guide employers through the intricate compliance issues involved in managing an employee with a medical condition. This workshop addresses the statutory requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and state Workers' Compensation laws. Participants will examine some of the common management difficulties that are encountered and learn practical ways to address these concerns. This seminar is based on a working knowledge of the three legal statutes, and is highly recommended that attendees have prior training and/or practical experience on the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and Workers' Compensation Basics prior to enrolling. This one-session class, taught by the Employers Association of the Northeast, meets Tuesday, Nov. 16, from 8:30AM to 12:00PM. Cost for registration is $140.

For more information, or to register, call 413-236-2122 or lpierce@berkshirecc.edu.
