BCC's Koussevitzky Art Gallery Features Exhibit by Terry Boutelle

BCC'S KOUSSEVITZKY ART GALLERY FEATURES TERRY BOUTELLE

WHO: Berkshire Community College's (BCC) Koussevitzky Art Gallery and artist Terry Boutelle.

WHAT: "Counting Breaths," an art exhibit by Terry Boutelle that serves as an invitation to contemplate the broader question of the human cost of war.

About the artist: "In my paintings, I use veiled light as a metaphor for awareness and clarity. Diffused light, then, suggests awareness influenced by time, memory, the media or the imagination. These influences can act enhance meaning or obscure it. It is this dichotomy of obscurity and illumination that informs my painting."

About the exhibit: Ten Years after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, this body of work is the result of months of mark-making and mediating on the consequences of the war.
Through number and names, it is an invitation to contemplate the broader question of the human cost of war.

WHERE: BCC's Koussevitzky Art Gallery located on the college's Main Campus - 1350 West St., Pittsfield.

WHEN: Now through April 14. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
