Academic Technology - Computer Labs

BCC has a variety of computer labs on the Pittsfield campus and a PC lab at the South County Center in Great Barrington. Wireless access is broadly available in all buildings.

Main Academic Computer Lab

Located on the main college campus, the lab features a quiet classroom environment. Student support is provided by phone, email and in the lab.

8 AM - 4 PM

9 AM - 2 PM

Computer Lab Use 

Computer usage is on a first-come first-serve basis.  Non-academic use is permissible, merely as a courtesy, provided it does not disturb the learning environment.  (See Acceptable Use Policy on the college web page).

  • Bring your own storage device to save your work.  A USB Flash Drive is needed.
  • Black and white printers are available.  Please limit printing to 15 pages per person per day.
  • Scanner is available.
  • Do not bring food or drinks into the computer lab.

An assistant is always available to aid lab users with general questions as well as the subjects listed below:

  • Blackboard CE Learning Management System navigation and operation
  • Web Advisor
  • Student email accounts
  • Microsoft Office 2007 usage
  • Internet access, including wireless
  • Basic grammar
  • Standard document presentation
  • Printing
  • Scanning
  • DVD/CD burning
  • Disk repair
