Paterson Field House maintains a basketball court for indoor activities, as well as several soccer fields, a 5K cross-country course, a fitness center, an outdoor pool that is open during the summer, and tennis courts. Lockers are available for students, who must provide their own locks.
New equipment added to the fitness room floor recently includes: Stairmaster, new treadmills, Octane Lateral, assisted chin/dip, water rowers, TRX Functional Training Zone, Cable Cross Multi-station, wall mirrors, and a Fit3D Body Scanner for wellness assessments.

The Fit3D allows you to obtain a full 3D image of your body from a 40-second scan. This scan provides information about your body measurements, weight, posture, composition, and wellness, and delivers the data to you through a private account. Record multiple scans over time and track your fitness progress! Contact the Paterson front desk at 413-236-1670 to set up a scan.
Health/Fitness Requirement for Students
Students earning an associate's degree must fulfill BCC's Health/Fitness Requirement, which provides students with the education and skills for maintaining lifelong physical fitness. Students may meet this requirement through one of the following options:
- Two credits of college Health/Fitness courses taken at BCC or transferred in from another college; or
- Not more than 15 hours at a non-BCC facility that tracks and supervises activities, plus 1 credit college Health/Fitness class or 15 hours with a personal trainer, intramural league or a supervised activity in the Paterson Fitness Center or 30 hours of a BCC supervised activity; or
- Participation in the armed forces or civil service.

Both adult and youth courts are now open from dawn to dusk for the season.
In recognition of his leadership and love of the game, the tennis facilities at BCC were dedicated in honor of the college's 6th president, Dr. Paul E. Raverta. The complex boasts three standard adult courts and two "10 and Under" courts for children.
The Paul E. Raverta Tennis Complex, which is open to the public, was made possible by the Berkshire Bank Foundation, Berkshire Bank Foundation—Legacy Region, Petricca Industries, USTA Western Mass, USTA New England, and USTA National.
