BCC and The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian), one of the nation's largest mutual life insurers and a leading provider of employee benefits, have announced they are partnering to offer BCC students a course to help them prepare and plan for their financial future.
Guardian is providing The Money Management for Life three-credit course free of charge to select, qualified BCC students. The course will cover strategies to help you understand how to manage budgets, expenses and debt; save and invest for the future; plan for the unexpected; and establish personal financial plans to achieve your goals.
To be eligible to take this course, you must:
- Be currently enrolled at BCC and available for when the class meets: MWF mornings at 9:00 during the fall 2015 semester
- Have skills prerequisites of ENG 020 and MAT 018
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0
- Be a United States citizen or permanent resident
The course’s in-depth lesson plans and presentations will give you the chance to learn about key personal finance issues that could impact your overall financial health. Additionally, the course will educate and arm you with the critical skills and knowledge you need to manage your personal finances throughout the various stages of your lives.
