Services
Prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment are offered
for colds, sore throats, headaches, stomach ailments and any other
type of injury requiring urgent/emergent care. Additional services
include counseling about sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy
testing, throat cultures, blood pressure measurement, weight checks
and immunization administration. Free condoms are available in the
Health Services office as part of our ongoing HIV/AIDS prevention
program. Health-related resources are available to use or borrow.
Health Records
All health records will be confidentially maintained
by the BCC Health Services office. These records may include, but
are not limited to, immunizations, physical examinations, TB testing,
examination and follow-up treatment by the college physician, referrals,
and Hepatitis B administration.
Any request by a student for his/her health record
requires a signed authorization from the student. Release of any
other medical records to college or contractual agencies is only
with the expressed approval of the student.
Feel free to stop by and talk with our health care
counselor about any health concern. Appropriate referrals to community
practitioners and agencies can be arranged, and a medical doctor
is available during the academic year to meet with you.
Physician's clinic day's and hours
Dr. Marjorie DeVries, MD from Family Practice
Associates has clinic office hours on Mondays from 9:00 am to 11
am.
Smoke ender's clinic
A representative from the Berkshire Breathing Room
will be on campus every Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm for appointments.
