Berkshire Community College and Berkshire United Way honor early childhood educators.
BCC and Berkshire United Way held an evening of celebration at BCC's mai campus on Wednesday, April 25. There was dinner and remarks, and a series of awards were given out to local educators who made a difference in our schools and our community - one student and one class at a time.
The Keynote Address was by Maria Rundle, from the Flying Cloud Institute. The following educators were honored with awards for their success in early childhood literacy programming:

- Veronica Johnston, Family Childcare Provider
- Nicole Haas, Building Blocks
- Abby Ketchum, Family Childcare Provider
- Kailyn Haskins, Monument Square Early Childhood Center
- Jill Marion, Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center
- Courtney Peto, Gladys Allen Brigham Community Center
Th Steering Committee for this annual event is made up of Patricia Kay and Amy Taylor, with member support from Stephanie Adornetoo, Barb Kotelnicki, Kate Murphy, Stacy Parsons, and Melissa Tarjick.
