BCC MUSIC PROGRAM TO HOLD ANNUAL SPRING CONCERT
The Berkshire Community College (BCC) music program will hold its annual Spring Concert on Friday, April 27 at 7 p.m. The concert, which will be held in the Robert Boland Theatre on the Pittsfield main campus, features the BCC Chorale and BCC Jazz Ensemble.
The BCC Chorale, under the direction of Andrea Goodman, DMA, will perform When the Sun Rose Up this Morning (Feigenbaum), Anyone’s Guess (Cooper and Stratman, arr. Oberoi), EndFragment, Over My Head (trad. American spiritual, Jahaira Camer, solo) and Changes (Charlie Puth and James Taylor). The BCC Jazz Ensemble, directed by Jeff Link ,will perform Well You Needn’t (Thelonius Monk), My Funny Valentine (Billy Holiday), Gee Baby Ain’t I Good to You (D. Redmam), Dreamland (Tyra Nurmi), Summertime (G. Gershwin), Masquerade (Leon Russell) and Natural Woman (Carol King).
The concert will also feature members of the cast of the BCC Players’ production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which opens in the Boland Theatre on May 11, as well as student soloists Danielle Davis, Kyle Anthony Carson, Brenna Campion-Pratt, Chloe Boehm, Adam Frishwasser and Lawrence Belanger. In addition, program chair Ellen Shanahan, PhD will present the annual music award recipients.
