Student Government Association (SGA)

Members of BCC's Student Government Association (SGA) program would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to BCC. We would also like to familiarize you with the SGA and let you know how you can get involved.

The SGA program is designed to recruit, retain and relate to prospective and current students. SGA members conduct on-campus surveys, focus groups, and encourage interaction between students. Both you and the College benefit from your involvement in these activities; we hope you'll join us.  Below are some important reasons to get involved:

  • Receive leadership and community skills training
  • Build a stronger self-image
  • Learn how to work effectively as a team
  • Develop and use critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Establish references for future employment
  • Acquire necessary job skills
  • Plus much more . . .

Some responsibilities include:

  • Working at new student orientations
  • Community Outreach
  • Giving tours to new students
  • Fundraising
  • Plus much more . . .

For more information, please stop by the Office of Student Life or stop in during one of our meetings. Meetings are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 12:15PM in the General Bartlett Room. You can also print an application or check us out on Facebook @ BCC .
