Pittsfield READS!

Join family, friends, and other area folks (you don’t even have to live in Pittsfield) participating in this "one book, one city" program. It features discussions, lectures, hikes, workshops, and other activities built around community reading of A Walk in the Woods. This is a popular and funny book by Bill Bryson about hiking the Appalachian Trail.

BCC is collaborating on this project with other local libraries and organizations. Extra copies of the book are available for borrowing and Barnes and Noble has extra copies for purchase. Click here for a schedule of events that include a talk by our own Professor Tom Tyning and book discussions led by BCC folks and others. Happy reading, and we hope you enjoy Pittsfield READS!
