The South County Center (SCC) located at 343 Main Street in Great Barrington, opened in 1984 to allow students who live or work in southern Berkshire County easier access to BCC academic courses. Students may attend the Center on a full- or part-time basis. In addition, students may enroll in courses both in Pittsfield and Great Barrington during the same semester. Most general education requirements may be fulfilled at the Center.
The staff at the South County Center also provides admission assistance, advising, registration, student payment services, and communication with student services on the main campus. Other services offered on the Main Campus are available by appointment at the South County Center. The Center serves new, returning, and prospective BCC students.
The South County Center is located at 343 Main Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.
- From the North, take Route 7 South to Great Barrington
- Continuing on Route 7, turn left onto Main Street (at the intersection of Routes 7, 23 and 41)
- Go through 2 sets of lights and BCC's South County Center is on the left, diagonally across the street from the Great Barrington Town Hall
- Parking is available on the street or behind the South County Center building
