Berkshire Community College will hold an open house on Mon., Dec. 12 for its 2017
STEM Starter Academy (SSA), which aims to recruit, engage, retain and move forward
students who are planning to enroll in science, technology, engineering or math programs
(STEM). There are 35 openings for the fall 2017 semester.
SSA Open House
The SSA Open House, which will be held from 11:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. at BCC’s Main Campus in Pittsfield, will allow students to participate in hands-on STEM activities, meet professors and tour the campus with upper class STEM scholars. Lunch will be provided.

About BCC’s SSA
BCC’s SSA will provide the necessary resources, support and academic assistance for the selected students to successfully transition to college and complete their college STEM pathway. BCC is offering incentives to participants including scholarships and technology.
Accepted students will be required to participate in a summer program.

The deadline for early acceptance to SSA is Feb. 1, 2017. The standard deadline to apply is May 1, 2017.
