Berkshire Community College has partnered with the region’s most innovative hospitality organizations to create hands-on hospitality and cultinary training courses that will be taught by celebrated chefs, restauranteurs and subject matter experts from the industry.

The continued success of our regional hospitality industry is dependent on a skilled and inspired workforce. Whether you are interested in culinary, hospitality or hospitality leadership positions, there are excellent career prospects for you in the Berkshires and beyond.

In Spring 2019, BCC will launch the following non-credit, certificate programs which will be FREE to both students and participating employers, thanks to a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education.

  • Certificate in Hospitality Core Skills (for Front-of-the-House Staff)
  • Certificate in Culinary Core Skills (for Back-of-the House Staff)
  • Certificate in Hospitality Management Core Skills (for Rising Managers)

Culinary Training

In less than one semester of part-time study, students will complete the coursework and be eligible to apply for a paid internship, which could lead to permanent employment. Students will also have the opportunity to expand their professional network through direct exposure to a variety of leading hospitality and tourism professionals. Participating employers will benefit from the opportunity to develop existing staff, as well as identify and hire new talent.
