When BCC's Board of Trustees Vice Chair, Danielle Gonzalez experienced the Berkshires for the first time, she was simply passing through on a visit from her hometown of Tampa, Florida. She didn't know it then, but she and her husband, Franz, would end up settling in Williamstown, now their home for more than 20 years.

"When I see a single mother of three children receiving her scholarship, just trying to improve her life by taking classes... Those children are in the audience, clapping for her, and she's showing them what she can accomplish with hard work. BCC's commitment to students of all walks of life is truly inspiring."
