Berkshire Community College is pleased to present the online Fast Track Hospitality & Culinary Program offering 4 online certificate programs through the summer of 2020.
These programs are offered free through a Massachusetts Department of Higher Education TRAIN (Training, Resources and Internship Network) Grant, with the intent of supporting the local Berkshires economy. Space is limited to grant funding and qualified applicants will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applications will be accepted through June 26, 2020, and classes start online Monday June 29, 2020.

Certificate in Hospitality Core Skills - Front of the HouseThis certificate program offers a customer service focused training element that allows participants to also receive an industry recognized certification as one of the following: Certified Front Desk Representative, Certified Guestroom Attendant, Certified Restaurant Server, or Certified Maintenance Employee. Students will also be educated in standard business communication practices, conflict resolution, team building, interviewing skills, and understanding unconscious bias. Certificate in Hospitality Culinary Skills - Back of the HouseThis certificate program focuses on an intensive culinary program offered through our partner Rouxbe. Students will complete the Culinary Foundations level 1 and 2. Students will also be educated in standard business communication practices, conflict resolution, team building, interviewing skills, and understanding unconscious bias. Estimated hours to complete certificate: 120 |
Certificate in Hospitality LeadershipThis certificate program focuses on developing leadership skills of managers or up and coming managers. Students who successfully complete this certificate program will also earn the industry recognized Certified Hospitality Supervisor designation. Students will also be educated in standard business communication practices, conflict resolution, team building, interviewing skills, and understanding unconscious bias. Certificate in Beverage ServiceThis certificate program focuses on completing an online bartending and barista class. Students will also be educated in standard business communication practices, conflict resolution, team building, interviewing skills, and understanding unconscious bias. Estimated hours to complete certificate: 60 |
All students accepted into the program are eligible to take the ServSafe Manager Certification, TIPS alcohol server program and allergen awareness training.
