FastTrack Hospitality & Culinary Program

BCC Fastrack Hospitality Program

Berkshire Community College is pleased to present the web-based Fast-Track Hospitality & Culinary Program offering four certificate programs. We are currently recruiting for our November 2021 program and February 2022 program.

These programs are offered FREE through the new Berkshire Culinary Institute, a partnership between Berkshire Community College, The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and local business partners. Additional funding has been provided via the Cares Act.

CakePops Confectionary Class

 

  • Certificate in Hospitality Core Skills – Front of the House

    This certificate program offers a customer service focused training that allows participants to receive an industry recognized certification as a Certified Front Desk Representative. Students will also receive training in the business of hospitality and tourism, communication practices, conflict resolution, team building, interviewing skills, and understanding unconscious bias.

    Estimated hours to complete certificate: 30 hours

  • Certificate in Hospitality Supervision

    This certificate program focuses on developing supervisory skills of managers or up and coming managers. Students will also receive training in the business of hospitality and tourism, communication practices, conflict resolution, team building, interviewing skills, and understanding unconscious bias.

    Estimated hours to complete certificate: 30 hours

  • Certificate in Beverage Service

    This certificate focuses on learning barista skills and includes an onsite practicum at Currency Coffee in Pittsfield, MA. Students will also receive training in the business of hospitality and tourism, communication practices, conflict resolution, team building, interviewing skills, and understanding unconscious bias.

    Estimated hours to complete certificate: 30 hours

  • Certificate in Hospitality Culinary Skills – Back of the House

    This certificate program focuses on completing the Culinary Foundations level 1 & 2 with the Rouxbe online culinary school. This program is overseen by a local facilitator and is the most comprehensive training offered through the Fast-Track program. Participants are given up to 24 weeks to complete this program and will be awarded college credits that can be applied to the BCC for-credit Culinary program.

    Estimated hours to complete certificate: 120 Hours
