John Lambert Nature Trail

Welcome to BCC’s John Lambert Nature Trail, made and maintained by Environmental and Life Sciences Department students and faculty.

The trail can be found behind the Ralph Hoffmann Environmental Science and Sustainable Energy Center; arrows and white blazes on trees mark the way. On this portion of the college’s 180 acre campus, you initially walk through a formerly cultivated upland meadow, then you enter forests that have developed from what was once pasture land (note the apple trees).

Please understand that the John Lambert Nature Trail is designed for foot traffic only; you may use it at your own risk. The trail has been made as a resource for the entire community. We hope naturalists of all ages will make use of it every season of the year. Enjoy your walk!
