Mercedes Bell

Mercedes (she/her) is beginning her third year here at Berkshire Community College. Having completed her prerequisites, she's planning on exploring electives that relate to her passion for history, psychology, and literature this school year before hoping to enter the ADN program in the fall of 2024. She waited a decade before getting her GED, choosing a new path, and going back to school, so she has a great appreciation for the balancing act most of her fellow students must manage in pursuit of their own goals. She is excited to be able to play an active part in supporting her fellow students to the best of her abilities in her new role as a member of the Writing Center team this fall.

Leo (he/him) has been working in writing centers since 2022. He has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Tennessee, where he worked as an award-winning writing tutor before joining BCC. His poetry has appeared in Glass Mountain Review. He is excited to return to the Writing Center as a consultant and liaison. When he is not supporting student writing, you can find him crocheting and enjoying all the nature that the Berkshires have to offer.
