BCC Announces New Dean of Community Engagement, Education & Workforce Development

Jill Sasso CurtisBerkshire Community College (BCC) is pleased to announce that Jill Sasso Curtis has been hired as the Dean of Community Engagement, Education & Workforce Development. She brings a unique blend of professional experience in global business, higher education and lifelong learning to BCC. 

Over the course of her career, Sasso Curtis has held leadership roles in both the private and non-profit sectors.  In her early career, she held global marketing management roles at Colgate-Palmolive, Polaroid Corporation and The First Years, Inc. She later served as the Director of the Office of Career Services at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. She also served as a faculty member in the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program at Tufts, where she developed the curriculum for the program’s Entrepreneurial Marketing course. Her expertise in entrepreneurship led to a global role with Babson College.

Sasso Curtis’s dedication to education and the wisdom tradition of yoga brought her to the Berkshires in 2012 to serve on the executive team of the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.  

Over the past few years, she has developed a strategic consulting practice focused on the fields of education, health and wellness.  In addition to her consulting work, Sasso Curtis has become a passionate social entrepreneur, partnering with Dr. Susan Lord to reimagine and relaunch a Berkshires-based non-profit, the Center for Peace Through Culture.

Sasso Curtis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Master of Business Administration degree in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.  She lives with her husband and two teenage sons in Stockbridge, MA
