BCC Announces New Staff, Promotions

PITTSFIELD, MA — Berkshire Community College (BCC) announces the addition of two staff members and promotions.

New Staff

Amanda Chase joins the BCC Development team as Manager of Development Operations. Chase brings over a decade of experience in a variety of administrative roles, most recently serving as Director of Human Resources at the Darrow School in New Lebanon, New York. Her experience also includes roles at Miss Hall’s School in Pittsfield and at UMass Amherst. In her role at BCC, Chase will be responsible for executing administrative tasks associated with BCC Foundation fundraising, accounting and donor management, as well as data analytics and report generation. She lives in New Lebanon with her partner. Together, they have three adult children and a dog named Burt Reynolds. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cycling, and trying new restaurants.

Jason Dion joins the BCC Facilities team in the Administration and Finance division as a Plumber and Steamfitter II. Prior to BCC, Dion was the Building and Grounds Manager for Central Berkshire Regional School District for 15 years. In addition to being a master plumber, he is the plumbing and gas inspector for several local towns and a continuing education instructor for licensed plumbers and gas fitters. Dion currently sits on several associations, including serving as president of the Berkshire County Plumbing and Gas Inspectors Association. He is married to his wife Kathy and is the father of Jason Jr. and Julia, and his family has two cats. He is an avid fan of all four major New England sports teams and is a frequent golfer. His hopes to continue to travel and someday tour Europe.

Jennifer Hoffman is now the Associate Director of Workforce Development and Community Education. She was previously the Administrative Assistant II for Workforce Development and Community Education, a position she held since she joined BCC in March 2023.

Dr. Liza Dister is now the Assistant Dean of Strategic Initiatives and Student Success. Most recently, she was Interim Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success. Previously, she was Student Success Assessment and Research Analyst in Student Affairs and Enrollment Management.

Dr. Christina Wynn is now the permanent Vice President for Administration and Finance. Most recently, she was Interim Vice President for Administration and Finance. Previous roles at BCC include Director of Marketing and Communications, Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment and Dean of Enrollment Management.
