Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is the international honor society of American community and junior colleges.
BCC's chapter is known as Xi Alpha. The purpose of this society is to recognize and encourage scholarship among junior and community college students. An induction program is held in the spring of each academic year.
Membership in PTK qualifies students to apply for special scholarships to many four-year institutions.
Students must be currently enrolled at the college and must have accumulated 12 100-level credits and a minimum 3.500 GPA. Transfer credit is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
