Latino Heritage Club (LHC)

Welcome, Falcons! The LHC is a student organization dedicated to promoting cultural humility and leadership, with appreciation for Latin American cultures. It's a welcoming space for all students, regardless of their ethnic background or heritage, who are interested in learning about and celebrating Latin American cultures through social and educational events, club meetings, and programs.

Hispanic Heritage Month

Sept. 15 – Oct. 15, 2026

Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the histories, cultures, and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.


Falcon Fest + Clubs and Organizations Fair

Thursday, Sept. 17, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Outdoor Quad

Meet and greet with different clubs and organizations. Get free lunch and win raffle prizes. Sign up to join the Latino Heritage Club.


Latino Heritage Club Welcome Potluck

Wednesday, Sept. 23, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
SBA Lounge

Join us for a vibrant community potluck honoring Central and Latin American culture and cuisine! Bring your favorite traditional dishes and celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of BCC's diverse heritage. We'll play a round of Kahoot and enjoy a playlist of music while we share cultural dishes. If you're interested in learning about Latino/a/e culture, traditions, language, and meeting new people, this club is for you! Open to all students.

What to expect (and eat!): Arroz y frijoles (rice and beans), Pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), chips and salsa, pastel and salgadinhos. Catering provided by Espetinho Carioca.

Community Ofrenda

Thursday, Oct. 15
One Stop entrance

Between now and Día de los Muertos (Nov 1 – 2), we encourage you to honor your loved ones who have passed on by bringing photographs and offerings to place on the community Ofrenda in the One Stop. Offerings can include food, flowers, decorations, or items linked with memories of the deceased.
